Membership
Membership will be on an annual subscription basis. In view of the Council’s fledgling
status, the fees for the first year have been purposely set low as an introductory
offer, and will be revised after the first year. The fee structure is shown below.
- Individual Membership £20 per annum
- Affiliate Membership £250 per annum

Individual Membership will confer the following benefits:
- Entitlement to seek election to the Council Board
- A single vote to elect Council Board members
- Regular information sent to a selected email address
- Priority place at the UKRC annual conference
- A discount for fee paying events, where negotiated with partners
- Invitations to contribute to ‘Special Interest Groups’ to shape services
- Advance notice of forthcoming activities and developments.
Affiliate Membership will confer the following benefits:
- Display of the organisation's logo on our Affiliates page at no extra charge
- Entitlement to propose an individual member for election to the Council Board
- Regular information sent to the organisation’s designated email address
- Invitations to contribute to ‘Special Interest Groups’ to shape services
- Membership of related Partner Special Interest Groups.
Membership Policy
- Application to become a member will be through a registration process. On receipt
of a completed application form and payment of the due subscription, confirmation
of membership will be provided.
- Membership will apply from the date of registration and will continue for one year
from that date until the annual set renewal date of the UKRC.
- Notification of impending expiration of membership will be sent well in advance
to provide ample opportunity for renewal. A period of one month’s grace will be
afforded for renewing an expired membership. Re-instatement of a lapsed membership
will be at the discretion of the UKRC’s Board.
- The UKRC will review subscriptions on an annual basis. Revisions to the membership
subscription will be notified to all members at least two months in advance.
- All members will be required to abide by the UKRC’s membership rules, which will
be denoted on the membership section of the UKRC’s website
- Members under 18 years of age are ineligible to vote or become a Council Board member.
- Individuals applying for a discount will need to provide proof that they qualify
for the related discount, such as a professional membership number. Checks may be
undertaken to verify whether the professional membership is up to date.
- Affiliate Members will automatically be entitled to membership of related Partner
Special Interest Groups.
- An Affiliate body is ineligible for election to the Council’s Board; however an
Affiliate body may propose an individual from their body for election.
- Evidence of breach or abuse of membership may lead to termination of membership
without notice.
